Dung-Ying Lin is a Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, National Tsing-Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan. Prior to his current position, he was a Professor at the Department of Transportation and Management Science (TCM), National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. He received his B.S. and M.S. degree at TCM, NCKU, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, University of Texas at Austin, USA.
Dr. Lin’s current research interests include Stochastic Optimization, Integer and Network Optimization, Scheduling and Transportation. Except for publishing academic papers in operations research (OR) relevant journals, he is also interested in applying OR techniques in solving industry problems. He has been working on projects with industry partners, including Taiwan High Speed Rail, China Airlines, Bus Companies, Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection Company (FETC) and many government agencies.
