Dr. Lee joined the faculty of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in February 2017 and has been a full professor since August 2024. She earned her PhD in Biomechanics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in the Netherlands. Prior to that, she completed her B.S. in Physical Therapy and her M.S. in Rehabilitation Science at Chang Gung University in Taiwan. Chang Gung University in Taiwan.
Dr. Lee's research interests include sensor technology, gait analysis, biomechanics, machine learning, ergonomics, signal processing, and precision exercise. In addition to publishing academic papers, she has expanded her studies to focus on gait biometrics and wearable sensing. Dr. Lee has designed an innovative mat capable of detecting gait for personal identification and imposter detection. Her contributions to the field have resulted in eight invention patents, including those granted in Taiwan and the USA.
