Chien-Wei Wu is a Chair Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management from National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), his M.S. in Statistics from NTHU, and his B.S. in Applied Mathematics, with Phi Tau Phi Honor, from National Chung Hsing University (NCHU). Before joining NTHU, Professor Wu held faculty positions at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech) and Feng Chia University (FCU). His research interests include quality engineering, statistical process control, process capability analysis, acceptance sampling, reliability engineering, and data-driven quality decision-making. His work integrates methodological innovations with practical industrial applications, contributing to the development of advanced acceptance sampling systems, capability-indexed inspection plans, intelligent quality verification frameworks, and quality analytics methodologies.

       Professor Wu has published extensively in leading international journals and has led numerous research projects supported by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and industry partners. His research contributions have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Dr. Ta-You Wu Memorial Award and Outstanding Research Awards from the NSTC, the Young Faculty Research Award and multiple Outstanding Teaching Awards from NTHU, and the Outstanding Young Industrial Engineer Award from the Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers (CIIE). He is currently a Fellow of the CIIE.

     Professor Wu currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Quality Technology & Quantitative Management (QTQM) and is a member of the editorial boards of several international journals. He also serves as the Convener of the Industrial Engineering and Management Program of the NSTC, contributing to the advancement of industrial engineering research and education in Taiwan.
