The total graduation credit is 130 credits for undergraduate student in our department. The required course include the 28 school required credits , 75 department required course , total 130 credits. The required credits included college Chinese 2 credits , the English course 6 credits , the general education course 20 credits , physical education course and the student service. The professional elective course is 21 credits and the other elective course is 6 credits.

A.The school requires course:

1.          All the undergraduate students should pass the English proficiency exam set by school for graduation. Those who did not pass the exam should take the extra course “Advanced English”.

2.          The general educational course is 20 credits which can be divided into two kinds, the elective course and the core course:

²  The core course can be divided into 7 dimensions: way of thinking, life explore , art and aesthetic, social and cultural pulse , science technology and social,  cultural classic , historical thinking. The students should choose 5 dimension and at least 1 course from each dimension.

²  The elective courses included the dimension: natural science , social science , humanities note and at least 4 credits in social science and humanities note.

3.          The student service is 0 credits and should be taken 2 semsters.

4.          The undergraduate students from freshman to junior should take the PE course every semester. The freshman should take the “freshman PE” for 1 semester. The students who pass the physical fitness can not be required the PE course for 2 semesters.

B. The department required course:

The goal cultivated for undergraduate students is the following 5 core abilities:

²  Integration- Abilities of integrating various technologies of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management.

²  Information- Utilization of Information technology to problem solving and applications in the field of Industrial Engineering.

²  Interaction- Coordination and communication abilities with teamwork.

²  Innovation/Ideas-Creative and Innovative capabilities.

²  Internationalization- Global interaction and public presentation skills.

C. Elective Courses and Other Course

²  There should be at least 15 credits of the course number that starts with IEEM in the elective course. The other 6 credits of elective courese can take the general educational course or the other IEEM related course. The 6 credits should be certified and signed by the instructor.

²  There is no limitation in the other courses.
