Dr. Chiu has been teaching at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan since 2011. He served as Research Associate from January to July in 2011 and as Instructor from 2010 to 2011 at The Pennsylvania State University. His Ph.D. dissertation is “A Graph Theory Based Integration of Product and Supply Chain Design during Product Design Stage”. Dr. Chiu received his B. S. and M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.
His current research interests lays on Product and Supply Chain Design Integration, Design for X (DfX) Perspectives, Design Decision-Making Methodologies, and Design Ideation Methodologies. The aim of the above interests is to solve problems with systematic thinking in product design and development domain. He is also the member of IIE and ASME.
