Ue-Pyng Wen received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo, U.S.A. in 1981. He is a Professor of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C. His primary research interests are in the area of multi-criteria decision making, production management, logistic planning and applied operations research. He has authored and coauthored over 40 technical journal papers in these areas. He serves as the editorial board member for Applied Mathematical Science, International Journal of Operations Research, International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems, International Journal of Artificial Life Research and Sun Yat-sen Management Review, and was the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of the Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers. He also is a member of CIIE, IIE, INFORMS and ORSTW.
