Abstract：

Analytic hierarchy/network process (AHP/ANP) is a popular technique for aiding decision making.

It is one major technique of American school in the area of multiple criteria decision making.

We try to introduce some basic concepts of its process, axioms, and facts.

Some examples are also presented to know its insides. In addition to understanding the mechanism of the technique,

we need to know the characteristics of the formulated problems well so as to make better use of AHP/ANP.
