Abstract：

With Internet of Things technologies, human, objects and environment are constantly linked and monitored.

Data essential for decision making can thus be obtained with much finer granularity.

Other than more timely response to incidental events, the vast amount of data can also enable services that could not have existed without such data.

Management and policies can be subsequently designed with the insight extracted from data

accumulated over time. In this talk, impact and innovation resulting from

Internet of Things technologies will be introduced. Potential research directions and topics will also be addressed.
